LANGHORNE LIGHTNING FIRST-YEAR 14U’S SEASON KICKS OFF

SEPTEMBER 13TH, 2022, LANGHORNE, PA – The Langhorne Lightning 14u team will start their 2023 Softball Season this Saturday, September 16th in Deptford, NJ for the 2022 Fall Kickoff tournament. The First-Year 14u team are a frequent sight at Stauffer Fields as this will be the team’s 3rd appearance in the last year, with their last appearance a tournament win in June 2022. Langhorne will start bright and early against the NJ Mystics at 8:30 am, followed by a game vs. the NJ Pride at 11:40 am and finally, a game vs. the newly founded, FS Prime at 2:50 pm.

The Lightning will start the season with an 11 player roster with 10 players returning with an addition of middle infielder, Callie Crozier. Power pitcher Adriana Superka is back again with her head-spinning drop-curve, her molasses-like changeup, and her pinpoint command of her fastball. The Lightning defense has been working hard to try to eliminate the errors, make even better plays in the field, and help the Lightning pitchers from getting extra outs. On the offensive side of things, the team has been working tirelessly to keep up their hitting abilities to make the team the best hitters they can be. It’s looking like the Lightning hitters are all peaking at the right time so hopefully by the time they roll into Deptford their bats are warm and ready.
